CEUTA (AFRICA) - MED GATE
Tealie needed to be lifted to maintain the propeller, change the anodes and also give her hull a lick of paint.
We left Sotogrande marina with the sun rising up from the sea and were awarded with several dolphin shows. We were lucky to see our very first calf swimming alongside it´s mother, synchronized swimming and jumping, all with a perfect view of Ceuta and Jebel Musa. These were striped dolphins.
We arrived at Muelle Alfauin in Ceuta five hours after leaving Sotogrande and Tealie was prepared to be lifted up by an enormous crane. It took about an hour from she was in place in the dock till the deep cleaning started.
We decided to leave the work to the professionals at
Med Gate and enjoyed an evening in Ceuta spending the night at Ulises Hotel on the main street.
She was ready the next day and the return took 6 hours with a stopover in Gibraltar to refuel, and again we were lucky to see more dolphins.
