This is an overnight trip crossing the Mediterranean from Sotogrande marina in the south of Europe to Ceuta in the north of Africa. Crossing over will take approx. 5-6 hours with a good probability of seeing some sealife. The views on this stretch are spectacular seeing were two oceans, two continents and three countries meet.
Ceuta is a Spanish exclave, bordered by Morrocco and located on the north coast of Africa, across from the Strait of Gibraltar. The city lies along the boundary between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, with views of Morocco in Africa and Spain and Gibraltar in Europe.
We have seen dolphins, turtles and moonfish on numerous trips. They are unpredictable, but don't loose faith, keep a close lookout and hopefully they will show up to greet you.
DAY 1 Once you are settled and comfortable we will serve you a welcome drink, and after the fresh sea air has built up an apetite, you will be served a lunch pack with refreshments.
Once arrived at Hércules Marina in Ceuta we will take care of the check-in while you are free to step off and explore this beautiful city. The marina is in the heart of the city so within a short walking distance you will be in the city centre or on the beach. We recommend reading up on Ceuta before the trip so you don't miss out on the most important sights.
Two lunch packs are included in the price, one per day, but we do not serve dinner aboard. We therefore recommend finding a nice restaurant to enjoy a night out on the African continent.
DAY 2 A new day and we hope you enjoyed Ceuta, and the night aboard. Check-out is at noon so we should all be aboard and ready to leave by then. On the way back to Sotogrande you will be served a lunch pack with refreshments.
If time permits, before bringing Tealie back to her berth we will take a ten minute detour down the canal to the inner parts of Sotogrande marina, past the luxurious and colourful apartments at the frontline of the canal.

ACTIVITIES
Should you get restless sitting around on deck you are welcome to take the helm or help with the sails. If you would like to do some fishing or go scuba diving, or have any other activity in mind, feel free to bring your equipment along. If you want to go swimming we have snorkelig gear and a SUP board at your disposal.

PRECAUTIONS AND TIPS
You will be served food, snacks and refreshments. If you have any allergies or have some special dietary wishes or needs, please let us know.
Although hot on land, the sea air can get humid and chilly, especially around sunset. For your own comfort, we recommend bringing a warm jumper or jacket.
Please bring proper shoes with white, rubber soles. The deck is slippery when wet and we wish to avoid any accidents. If the weather is warm enough, barefoot is a good option.
We have life vests for those not feeling too comfortable aboard, also for small kids and medium sized pets.
If you wish to let your family and friends know where you are sailing, they can follow you by searching for TEALIE on VesselFinder or by clicking on MarineTraffic.
MOTION SICKNESS
Motion sickness is the worst, especially wobbling on a sailboat with no immediate escape. However, if you tend to get motion sick, don't worry, there are some precautions to take before and during the trip.
Before the trip
Check with your doctor or pharmasist which medicines or patches to be recommended. The adhesive patch is put behind your ear a few hours before boarding. We have pills and wrist bracelets if needed.
Buy a pack of lozenges, preferably something with ginger.
Do not eat a big meal before boarding.
Lay of alcohol, caffeine and drink lots of water.
Bring a distraction - like music with headphones.
During the trip
If you brought music, listen to it as it might add some distraction.
Find a better spot. Many find relief by taking the helm.
Lie down if you can, keep your head still, shut your eyes or follow the horizon. Whatever is best for you.
We will provide something salty, like chips or crackers, green apples, i.e. Granny Smith, anything with ginger, i.e. lozenges.
Drink ginger ale or ginger tea, Coca-Cola, the real stuff.
If nothing of the above helps, we will give you a bucket and head back to Sotogrande.
NUMBER OF GUESTS ABOARD
TEALIE is registered for 10 people but for your own comfort we prefer a maximum of 6 guests, on shorter trips we can accomodate 8. If you are more than 8 persons in your group, we are collaborating with another sailboat, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49. In total the two sailboats can accomodate 18 guests.
Your pet, furry or not, is welcome to join us.

We accept cash, PayPal in EUR and NOK, or bank transfers to Spain and Norway. We accept Spanish Bizum but unfortunately not Vipps. If you are a company and need an invoice, no problem.
